We’ve been in the employment game for a while, and have had the opportunity to write about some pretty amazing women. They are smart, strong, and determined to achieve their dreams, no matter the challenges that life throws their way.
Here’s to these strong women! May we know them, may we be them, and may we raise them!
In March 2014, we highlighted our then COO and now Senior Executive VP, Stacy Bayton. Veteran, Military Spouse, and all around bad-ass, Stacy explained how she learned to lead in the military world.
Military wife-dom (totally a word) comes in many forms, and we were thrilled in 2015 to spend some time talking with Mrs. Linda Odierno about her service alongside her husband. Mrs. Odierno’s discussion of volunteerism reminds us just how often military wives serve alongside their service members.
In April 2016, we talked with two military dependents--young women who taught us that the [military] kids are alright! Revisit their stories here.
As spring edged toward summer, we heard more good news from the strong women in our community. In May, we caught up with the powerhouse women behind R. Riveter, and July gave us a chance to hear first hand from FedEx’s Bobbi Wells, a US Army Veteran, about opening the door and giving yourself a chance.
Not to be outdone, 2017 brought us the story of one of our own, Recruiter Connect Specialist Melanie Nicks, who became a US Citizen. Melanie’s story is a celebration of what it means to discover what you want, to take the steps necessary to make your dream a reality. Read more about her story.
At MSCCN, we are so excited to be surrounded by so many strong women. Do you have an inspiring woman’s story to share? We want to hear from you!
Happy Women’s History Month!
