What
MSCCN is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, operating with Memoranda
of Understanding (MOUs) from the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, and Coast
Guard. MSCCN operates as an employment referral and job placement solution for
military spouses, war wounded, and caregivers of war wounded via an Internet
gateway and a team of geographically diverse military spouses and veterans. The
MSCCN specializes in vocational training, volunteer and employment workshops,
and job search seminars at no cost to military installations and military-affiliated
applicants.
The MSCCN is an employment partner with all Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force,
and Coast Guard military commands, installations, and family centers. MSCCN holds
a Central Contractor Registration (CCR) to operate as a nonprofit contractor or
subcontractor on bid awards.
Why Quality
of life for military families translates to enhanced force readiness
and increased retention of qualified and experienced military personnel.
Transfers between duty stations are a fact of military life. They can cause job
loss and career interruption for military spouses, resulting in economic hardship
for military families.
The stress of the household move, coupled with the loss of secondary income,
can detract from the military member's effectiveness and, ultimately, overall
military retention rates.
How
MSCCN couples the power of a growing, nationwide network of employers,
joined through this state-of-the-art, internet-based, talent management gateway
system, to fulfill our mission of job portability and career continuation for military
spouses. MSCCN's team is comprised of military spouses who are job placement
specialists and career development professionals. In partnership with military
family programs, we provide the finest job market for our nation's military spouses
and caregivers of injured veterans.
Applicants are encouraged to utilize their military family centers for resume develop-
ment and career coaching to become job ready! MSCCN works in CONJUNCTION with
military family centers as an extension of the DoD Spouse Employment Programs.
MSCCN is comprised of military spouses, caregivers to war wounded and retired military.
We value our military culture and military way of life. Our program will never charge
military members and their families for our job referral and placement services.
