MSCCN Training and Development

Part of MSCCN's Mission

MSCCN incorporated training and development as part of the mission in its first year. While all candidates are excellent prospects, we noticed there was a general gap in knowledge of how to promote transferrable skills to employers. Responding quickly to our candidates' needs, we began to develop training materials to enhance our candidates’ success.

A few years ago, MSCCN started with a few trainings on interviewing and resume tips to what we currently promote, a robust online and on location training department, complete with a repertoire of job search training, federal employment, alternative work solutions, and personal development.

In an effort to provide a well-rounded personal development experience for candidates, we have also partnered and launched an online community with individuals and organizations to expand our mission and deliver our message.

MSCCN invites you to browse through the online training currently offered and also to review the upcoming workshops and seminars we are scheduled to present on various military installations. The resume guidance web page has a tutorial slide presentation that can help you tweak your resume and each issue of the Military Spouse Employment Journal (MSEJ) includes valuable information to help you in your job search.

On the Job Training Through Volunteerism
MSCCN offers many volunteer opportunties. If none are of interest to you for your own career plans, please check into volunteering opportunities with local organizations in your current area. Volunteering is a great way to expand skills and build your network!
