Navy IT Day took place on April 5, 2007. Charles and I had the
privilege of attending
this event and meeting a wonderful group of individuals. We were
able to market the
mission of MSCCN and draw attention to our Caregiver Program.
Upon our arrival, Mr. Charles (Chuck) Corjay of CACI, honored
our Caregiver and War
Wounded status by introducing us from the podium and explaining
some of Charles'
injuries. I was nearly brought to tears as the entire room rose
to applaud my husband
for his service in Iraq.

It was truly a memory that will live with me through all my days,
as well as with my
husband. The rest of our day was just as phenomenal. We were thrilled
to be in the
presence of Mr. Corjay and all of the Committee members. Charles
and I were honored
to be among such a caring and dedicated
group of people.

The most memorable moment of the day was the presentation of the
Golden Eagle
to my husband in gratitude for his service in Iraq, and then the
presentation of a dozen
beautiful pink long-stem roses to me. Our day was a complete success
and a truly
memorable one at that.
On behalf of MSCCN I would like to thank Mr. Corjay and the many
members of the
AFCEA NOVA Committee who made our day such a wonderful experience!
