Friday (8:00 am - 4:30 pm)
- Rule Development and Enforcement
- Board Meetings and Decision-Making
- Budget and Reserves
- Collecting Assessments
- Financial Statements, Audits, Income Taxes and Investments
Saturday (9:00 am - 3:00 pm)
- 9:00 - Review for test
- 11:00 - Exam (100 multiple choice questions)
- 12:30 - Lunch
- 1:30 - Meet and Greet
Pamela Wiles and Sarah Patterson talked about CAI and the benefits of becoming
a member. We then had a visit from Ed Thomas who touched on CAI, the benefits,
how his company has grown, and how important it is to complete these courses
offered by CAI. PCAM is the highest certification that one can achieve and they
are expected to be awarding the 2000th certification this year NATIONWIDE.
Ft. Detrick had 13 students take the M-100 course and exam results are expected
in the next two to six weeks. This course is the prerequisite to the CMCA course
certification. By taking these courses, passing the exams, and acquiring these
titles, the student can expect to place themselves in a whole new category when
being considered for a property management position. Property management employers
tend to put these students in a higher category and will be much more likely to
consider them for employment.
