Lewis a few months and was pleased
with the job fair. "It was very friendly and I enjoyed the one-on-one
conversations with
the employers," said Moore, who also enjoyed the diversity of
the businesses represented
at the event. "It opens us (military spouses) up to more and more
opportunities,"
continued Moore. She advises spouses who are looking for work
to use the services on
MSCCN's web site and to turn to their community services to see
what is available.
Sears HR Associate Diane Denton was pleased with
the quality of candidates at the job
fair. Denton, who is also a military spouse, said that Sears hired
two candidates and
had five more interviews to conduct. Denton said that Sears would
participate in another
MSCCN job fair because it is worthwhile, and they were pleased
with the number of
qualified candidates.
Recruiters from Gant Travel and Health Net are in the process
of prescreening applicants

Janet Lee is Manager of Business Development for MSCCN and she
said, "We were
pleasantly surprised by the outcome. The enthusiasm of Fort Lewis
and McChord
Air Force Base, as well as the candidates and businesses that
participated, made this
an event that should be repeated." Lee said that she is unsure
when MSCCN will hold
its next job fair but that we are considering all our options.

"Janet and Michelle were remarkable in their
organization of MSCCN's job fair," commented
Deb Kloeppel, President of MSCCN.
Kloeppel said, "Several placements are possible
from this one event. Military installations are
calling on us to hold events inside military
installations nationwide. We're in the process
of determining which installations we can serve
in 2008."
