Gateway search agent tips for applicants:
Search
agents are searches you have saved so that you can run them
again
and/or receive the search results via e-mail. You can choose
how detailed the
search agent is by selecting state, job category, and keyword.
Under the "For Jobseekers" section of our web
site, click the link for
"Search
Jobs".
If you have an account, login and click the "Search
agent manager" link.
If you do not have an account, create one by clicking the link
for
"First Time Users - Click Here to Post Your Resume".
On the Search agent manager page, click the "Create
search agent" button.
In the create search agent window, enter
a name for the search, select its
frequency, and confirm your e-mail address so you can be notified
of the results.
Click the "Save" button and your
search will be saved. Then click the
"Close Window" button.
To see the current results of a search agent, click the "Run"
link on the same
line as the search name. Results are returned to you in the
Search results page.
To edit the criteria for a search agent, click the pencil icon
next to the search
name. A window will open where you can change any or all of
the search agent's
information, including the email address where search results
are sent. Click the
"Save" button and your changes will
be saved. Then click the "Close Window"
button.
Use the "E-mail frequency dropdown menu"
to select and change the
frequency by which the results are emailed to you.
If you want to stop receiving search agent e-mail messages,
change the
frequency to "None", or delete the
search agent by clicking the "Delete icon"
on the same line as the search name. You will be asked to confirm
that you
want to delete the search agent, click "OK"
to delete it. Then click the
"Close Window" button.
By utilizing this convenient feature, you can stay on top of
the job openings we
post on MSCCN's Gateway.
