The National Guard Employment Network was created through a partnership between National Guard Bureau, the MSCCN, and Direct Employers Association.

National Guard Employment Network
Unlike active duty service members -- who come home to continued employment and the support of a military base and continued benefits – once the initial fanfare of homecoming subsides, returning Guard members are typically left to face the increasingly stark reality of transitioning back to civilian/Guard life on their own. In today's struggling economy, most of the Guard members and Reservists returning home are finding that the jobs and careers they put on hold to serve their country no longer exist. To compound the problem, not only are they facing unemployment, but once home they are almost immediately taken off the active duty military payroll which further impacts the financial stability of their family.

In response to these issues the National Guard Bureau, Corporate America Supports You (CASY), MSCCN, DirectEmployers Association, and Kenexa have partnered to launch the National Guard Employment Network. This employment program will provide training, support, and technologies to assist our National Guard and their families as they seek, obtain, and retain civilian employment during the course of their service and after.
