CASY-MSCCN Careeer Corps
for Volunteers
The MSCCN has changed the face of our volunteer
program!
Volunteers are a valuable asset to any nonprofit, but MSCCN
wanted to ensure that this program was as beneficial for the
volunteer as it is for the organization. In July 2011 the MSCCN launched the Career Corps
Program as a compliment to the organizations existing
employment readiness and placement program.Through the Career Corps volunteers are placed in
positions that are a match for their individual skills and
expertise, allowing each member to gain current work
experience, expand/hone their skills, and take part in real
life projects within MSCCN that have an impact on job
seekers within the military and veteran communities.
In a continued effort to fellowship opportunities, we have
developed a relationship with the American Legion in 2012 to
add two paid fellowship positions for military-affiliated
individuals under The American Legion Auxiliary Service to
Corps VISTA program (ALA VISTA program). To read full deatils,

This opportunity to serve benefits the volunteer, the MSCCN,
and those we serve.
Career Corps members serve in various capacities, such as
providing administrative support, assisting with training,
providing articles for publication, assisting with resume
preparation and other human resource tasks, conducting
marketing research and analysis, corporate development,
assisting with social media development and management, and
business operations. These positions are ideal for anyone looking to
expand their experience in:
