After not being able to find a job, I turned to
additional resources. MSCCN helped me with my resume and job search. My
advisor Mrs. Odetta, helped me every step of the way and I
thank MSCCN for helping me land a job at Bojangles. I also
may be consider for an Assistant Manager position soon.
Thanks MSCCN!!! |

I just want to drop you a quick line
and say thank you for all that you and MSCCN do for military
spouses. I was informed of your website through an email
from the Family Support Center at Randolph AFB base. I
visited the MSCCN website and I am so thrilled I did. There
is so much information and assistance available on the
website. I was excited to receive a personal email from
NaTasha offering to assist me in my job search. Thank you,
NaTasha, for being so available and for mentoring and
encouraging me over the phone and through e-mail. MSCCN's
website with all the programs, information, online training,
and personal assistance is fantastic!! Not to mention the
job listings and the one on one support!
Soon after working with NaTasha, I was
offered a job!!!! I am definitely recommending your
services to other military spouses. Thank you, again, for
the wonderful programs MSCCN offers military spouses
worldwide!!

Weakly
After I graduated in June 2010 from
the University of Maryland I started my job search. I had no luck the first 6
months I was looking. I was searching for military
spouse job assistance on my computer one day and came
across
msccn.org. I decided to send my resume in and
figured I had nothing to loose except to not hear
anything back which I was already experiencing. Within a
few days after I submitted my resume I received an email
from MSCCN asking me what type of job I was looking for,
if I wanted to volunteer, etc. First we made some
changes to my resume. I finally started to get phone
calls for interviews. Shortly after that I decided while
I was looking for jobs it wouldn't hurt to start
volunteering with MSCCN to help me get some experience
that would relate to my degree.

We recently PCSed to Southern California, and of course I'm
staring the job hunt and, because of the economy, I have had
a really hard time finding a job. With the help of MSCCN, I
recently found a part time position. MSCCN helped me do the
research and also provided me with websites for job
openings. Thank you so much Natasha Jordan for all your
help.

I began my job search on my own for about a month. I got
really frustrated really quickly from submitting my resume
online and never hearing back from employers. When I found
MSCCN I was very thankful to know that I had an organization
that understood what being a military spouse meant and was
willing to be that extra leverage I needed to get the jobs I
deserved. Natasha has stood by me every step of the way and
has celebrated in my success of finding seasonal work with
the potential to be permanent work. Even though I have found
a job, we are continuing my job search for my dream job.
Without MSCCN I wouldn’t be working right now, I would still
be blindly submitting resumes hoping I’d be picked out of
the hundreds of applicants. Thank you MSCCN for being such a
great resource and advocate for veterans and spouses!

BrendaLee suggested I
visit the job fair being held on Camp Pendleton as I would
be able to speak with the recruiter in person. I was granted an interview a week later followed by
an offer. I now
am a proud employee of one of San Diego’s best hospital
systems and am finally able to put my passion into practice
again. MSCCN is
a wonderful program and I encourage any spouses I meet to
contact BrendaLee and MSCCN.
I can attest to the benefit of their opportunities
because I am a success story.

I'm happy to inform you that I finally have a job offer from
Verizon Wireless, my tentative start date is on August 15,
2011. I'm so grateful that the company is willing to invest
in me as I have been unemployed for almost five years now.
It is a downside for being a military wife because we have
to move around a lot and I end up leaving a good job behind.
It's been a struggle financially but I have no regrets. I
can't thank you enough for all the assistance and special
effort you extended to me and all the other military
spouses.

Since speaking with Erin at MSCCN I have some hope
that I will find a job. It’s so disheartening when
you submit a resume to a website. It’s like it goes
into a black hole never to be seen again! With
support from MSCCN I feel like I can pull out of
that black hole and into a new employment position.

I just wanted to let you know that I had 3 interviews this
week and was offered jobs on the same day from
two of them. I feel so blessed to have one great offer, let
alone two. I have officially accepted one and start
tomorrow.
Please pass along my gratitude to your entire team for
walking along side of me during this process. In 20 years
of being in the professional world, I've never needed
employment assistance. It is a scary feeling to go for
months without a single call back! Having you all there, in
my corner, gave me comfort. For that I am very grateful!
Thank you all and much success as you continue your good
work!

"I do not just give away compliments. I was also in the
business of taking care of our men and women in uniform and
their families, the branch of Svs did not matter. You can
hear the energy in Stacy's voice, she cares and wants to
help. For the good people you meet, there are so many fake.
"I am new at being a
civilian, need a little direction. Yes, you may use the
words for the web site....meant every word."

"Lighting the Fire of Job Seeking MilSpouse
Applicants"
I can not begin to tell you how excited I am to start
this journey TODAY! Twenty-four hours ago, I came across
a network posting from Deb about MSCCN. Little did I
know that one little post would ignite such a fire
inside of me! I have not felt this way about something
in a very long time! In less than one week, I will be
turning 39. It's not old, I know. It's probably not even
middle aged. I just thought that I would have everything
together by the time I turn 40. And I do have everything
together... personally. I have an amazing husband, a
sweet and respectful child, a wonderful home, and we
have our health. Yes, I have a lot.
