On Tuesday, September 20, 2011, at the request of MSCCN, Major Pam Ellison, Branch Chief of Employment and Education Outreach for the National Guard Bureau, gave a presentation of the National Guard Employment Network before DirectEmployers Association's Board of Directors.  The National Guard Employment Network is a partnership created through an alliance between National Guard Bureau, the Military Spouse Corporate Career Network (MSCCN), and DirectEmployers Association.  This program, powered by the MSCCN, was created to improve National Guard force stability by improving the members’ ability to seek, obtain, and retain civilian employment throughout their time in service to their State and our Nation.  This includes transition from deployments, continued training and service, and support/relief efforts within their State and across the United States.

During the presentation Major Ellison gave a summary brief on the outline of the program, status of its implementation, the importance of the program, the key relationship between the three organizations, and the instrumental support of MSCCN and DirectEmployers Association in meeting program objectives.

Also attending in support of the program was Brigadier General Margaret Washburn, Assistant Adjutant General of the Indiana Army National Guard.  General Washburn gave a brief presentation regarding the employment needs of the Indiana National Guard.

"We are extremely fortunate to have a National Guard represented by these two dynamic, dedicated and empowering women," said Deb Kloeppel, Founder and CEO of MSCCN "The partnership between the MSCCN and National Guard will be an enormous job placement solution for our nation's Guard."

DirectEmployers Association is a Charter Member of the MSCCN’s Board of Directors and a financial donor to the MSCCN’s National Guard Employment Network program.
